Today, the Spectrol trademark is the widest range of all kinds of premium-class auto chemicals, oils and auto cosmetics with quality that has won its consumer on both sides of the ocean. The brand's products include more than 100 items, many of which have no analogues in the world.
The pioneering brand, which began its history in 1987 as the world's first manufacturer of organometallic protective additives, is now perhaps the only brand from Russia that is actively and successfully developing the American market.
Over its nearly quarter-century history, the brand has proven its innovativeness more than once:
— released the first domestic semi-synthetic and synthetic oils;
— the first motor oils in Russia of many classifications;
— the world's first synthetic oil SAE 0W-50;
— the first domestic synthetic gun and two-component oils;
— the first sports gasoline in the Russian Federation, viscosity modifier, diesel fuel booster;
- the world's first synthetic two-component sports oil;
— the world's first ester with a low internal coefficient of friction as a thickening component for various oils;
- as well as many other advanced developments for their time.
The brand's products have been repeatedly awarded diplomas and gold medals at international exhibitions in Genoa, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk. It was tested and given positive peer reviews by numerous authoritative automotive magazines: Driving, Consumer. AutoDela, Moto, etc. Individual products manufactured by the trademark were approved by such giants of the global auto industry as Porsche, Volkswagen, Daimler Chrysler.
Having relied on long-term science-intensive projects and technologies even before the collapse of the Soviet Union (as part of the agreements until 1991, Spectrol interacted with the largest military-industrial complex sites of the USSR), the brand still “keeps its mark” to this day.
Since 2005, the number of products manufactured under the Spectrol trademark has almost doubled (for 17 years: 1987-2004 - 200 million units; for 5 years: 2005-2010 - 160 million units).
The high scientific potential of the brand to this day allows it to be two steps ahead of most Russian manufacturers. New technological products appeared, and work was also carried out to improve the technical characteristics of the existing range: almost all oils were transferred to a higher API level.
In addition, the American production site launched the production of completely new products - synthetic and semi-synthetic oils 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 20W50, meeting API SM, as well as a line of hydraulic and industrial oils focused on specifics of the local market.
To date, Spectrol is a unique brand that combines advanced Russian intellectual developments multiplied by a powerful American production and technological potential; a trade mark, the entire product range of which, in its composition, meets the most advanced regulations of the automotive industry. All Spectrol products manufactured and sold in a particular region are fully focused on the local market, not only in terms of their functional component, but also in terms of price. At the same time, the quality parameter of the products is the same and only increases with time.
